I never imagined this would be a path I would walk. By day I am a high school teacher and for the better part of 15 years, I coached high school football. Cocktails, cooking and photography were just part time hobbies I would pick up and put down when the mood struck me. The hobby really grew out of my some free time at the beginning of lockdowns for COVID. I found myself with free time and fell down a YouTube rabbit hole. Next thing I knew, I was looking over the small bar we had at the house and trying my hand at making a few classic cocktails. I’ve always enjoyed cooking, and this seemed like a fun extension of that. The photography stuff started later when I was looking for a creative outlet. What started as a throwaway account to post the occasional cocktail turned into an opportunity to get outside my comfort zone a little bit. February of 2022 is when things really shifted from the occasional hobby to something I was eager to put more time and effort into. One of my posts was seen by another Instagram page in the cocktail circle, and it was shared around. The responses I was getting really encouraged me to put myself out there more. It’s been a growing and learning experience ever since.
